Receipt for Donations

  1. Singapore Buddhist Free Clinic (SBFC) is an approved Institution of a Public Character (IPC) under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health. Donations enjoy tax relief 2.5 times the qualifying donation amount (visit Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) website for more details).
  2. Donor who wish to make a tax-deductible donation is required to provide:
    • Individuals: Full name (as per NRIC), and NRIC number
    • Corporations: Registered name and Unique Entity Number (UEN)
  3. Types of Receipts 
    • Temporary Receipt
      • Handwritten with three copies
      • Copy 1: Issued to donor
      • Copy 2: For accounting record
      • Copy 3: Retained as a stub
    • Official Receipt (computer-generated)
      • Tax-Deductible: MF Series (Pink)
      • Non-Tax-Deductible: NT Series (Blue)
  4. If a donation cannot be honoured after the official receipt is issued, we will revoke the corresponding official receipt.
  5. Donations made on the last working day of the year which cannot be deposited into the bank in time, official receipts will be issued on the first working day of the following year.
  6. Donations are non-refundable when completed.
  7. When donation records are submitted to IRAS, in January, details cannot be amended.
  8. By providing your personal data, you consent to its collection, use, and disclosure in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and SBFC’s Data Protection Policy. Your data may be used for purposes including:
    • Processing and managing your donations
    • Submitting donation details to IRAS for tax deduction claims

Amendments of Receipts

(from non-tax deductible to tax deductible receipts OR change from tax deductible to non-tax deductible receipts)

Amendment to receipt will not be accepted when SBFC has submitted details of donations for the previous year to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore in January each year.
